”Once a Demon Always a Demon”.
American History
In 1955 Elvis Presley went on his first big tour around America. Singing at state fairs, high schools and military bases all over America. It was those amazing rock performances that sky rocketed his career into the national scene. No one had ever seen a white man moving or singing like that before.
The same year on July 17 Walter Elias Disney fulfilled his dream of making an activity park that had activities for both children and parents. The park was named Disneyland.
A year later in 1956 Brigitte Bardot, who was a former French fashion model, actress, singer and animal rights activist, was in seven films. It was the film called “And God Created Woman”, where she played an immoral teenager that made her an international star.
This was the same year that The Hungarian Revolution took place in Budapest. The Hungarian Revolution or Uprising was a nationwide revolt against the government of People's Republic and its Soviet-imposed policies. It lasted from twenty-third of October until the tenth of November.
There were something very big happening in the United States at that time!
On December 1st of the previous year Rosa Parks, an African American woman was arrested for refusing to surrender her seat to a white person on the bus in Montgomery, Alabama. On December 20 1956 the United States Supreme Court decided that they would declare the Alabama and Montgomery laws requiring segregated buses to be unconstitutional. This was called The Montgomery Bus Boycott.
